On my drive into work this morning I was listening to CBC Radio One and they were talking about the upcoming municipal elections. Apparently a record number of candidates have offered for council in Saint John. Commenting to this effect one of the incumbent councillors remarked "... so many names. It's great to see so many new names ... It's like someone took a great big giant pepper shaker and sprinkled signs all over the city corners." It's an image I simply can't get out of my mind.
